Why I started Crumbs & Crumbs

Hi – I’m Claudia, and welcome to Crumbs & Crumbs.

What started as a little kitchen experiment for my family quickly turned into a full-blown love affair with sourdough. There’s something magical about the simplicity of flour, water, and salt — and watching them transform into something nourishing and full of life.

I first started baking sourdough while living in England in 2023, where I founded Pinch of Salt and made sourdough bagels. I knew that when I returned home, I wanted to carry on baking — and so Crumbs & Crumbs was born. A place to continue the craft and share the joy.

Every loaf is hand-shaped, slow-fermented, and baked in small batches right here in my kitchen. I believe bread should be simple, real, and made with care — no shortcuts, no gimmicks.

Sourdough isn’t just delicious (though yes, the crust and tang are addictive!). It’s easier to digest, naturally fermented, and full of gut-friendly benefits. It’s bread the way it’s meant to be.
